Tell us a few things about your early life or childhood. Who was your role model as a child?
I was a only child to a single mother. I looked up to Agatha Christie and JRR Tolkien.
How were you first introduced to writing?
I started writing essays for my homeschool then a story with my mom but it was too difficult to agree on the story so I began to write my own stories.
Do you remember the first children's book you read? What was it about?
No I do not. I remember Berenstain Bears when I was very young.
What inspired you to write "On the Hill"? Have you ever been to the hills?
On the hill is about my life on Howell Mountain above Napa Valley locals call it “the hill”
How was "The Day the Skyfel" series started?
It is a apocalyptic science fiction romance. It began as a potential world war series but I adjusted my way of thinking over the years and my love of science fiction grew to evolve the series into a huge multistory series.
How was the idea for "Rightly Wrong or Wrongly Right" born?
It came from a dream I had about fifteen years ago. The character Adara has the same dream in the story as I did.
Who inspired the character of Ana in "Ground Zero"?
She is someone from my imagination, she grew there with the story. I split a story in two made two characters from my original.
Do you ever get messages or letters from your fans? What is one of the most encouraging things a fan has ever said to you?
No I haven’t, though I have had conversations of encouragement on Twitter.
What do you often do to hang out with family and friends?
I hang out with my kids constantly we play Minecraft and go for walks or swimming often.
Of all the books that you have written, which was the most challenging to write and why?
I rewrote “rightly wrong or wrongly right” comments lately.
What is the one thing you feel has helped you shape into a writer?
Trauma and hardships have really helped me write my mind.
When do you have the most fun writing? When does it feel the most draining?
I have the most fun writing movements/scenes action/conversations. The most draining is when I can’t see the “rest of the story”
Which is the next book you are writing? What is it about?
My next book is the third Day the Skyfel. It is about Raven and she is buried in rubble/digs her way out.
When did you sign up as a member for AllAuthor? What sort of impression has the website left on you?
I signed up in the spring, it is very nice well organized, but as a little known author I do not know if it’s profitable for me.
