BIOGRAPHY

Canadian author Stephanie Turner belongs to the Triple 'E' Club - an Easterner in Economic Exile. She lives with her husband and children in view of the Rocky Mountains, but longs for the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

Until she can get home, she'll set her stories where her heart is, with occasional treks to drier regions, and the odd quest to galaxies far, far away.

When she's not writing, she can be found wandering the local bird sanctuary, sketchbook in hand, or curled up in a comfy chair with a good book and a hot cup of tea.

      • Be brave. Don't quit doing what you love; even a few words a day will begin to add up. Writing is not a sprint, and it's not really a marathon either; I'd say it's more of a hike, some parts are steep and rocky, sometimes it's a race downhill, but there's no hard finish line; enjoy the journey and the views along the way. I set my pen aside for almost two decades because I didn't think I was good enough, and because I was sure no one would ever want to read anything I wrote. The number of perfect strangers that have given my books four or more stars (it's still a small number, but I cherish every one of them) has made me rethink those negative thoughts at least a little, and given me encouragement to go on.
