Chanticleer's Tenth Annual Author's Conference and International Book Awards Ceremony, 23 - 26 June 2022.
I met many of brilliant authors throughout the conference, and during the award ceremony, The Devil Pulls the Strings won first place awards in three genres (Science Fiction, Fantasy and Paranormal), Grand Prize Winner of Paranormal Supernatural Fiction, and the Overall Best Book of 2021. Not bad for a debut self-published novel compared to all the traditionally published bestselling books considered across 26 genres.
Receiving one award - uber awesome author validation. Three awards - inconceivable. Grand prize - this is for you Grandma Yetta, who told me bedtime stories about Baba Yaga, And to receive overall best book of 2021 - this honor left me speechless.
