This book is based on real life characters, some of whom were known to me personally, others I learned of through friends and acquaintances, only the dialog between them needed to be contrived. But to the best of my ability the basis for this story is indeed true, Arranged marriage and the need for a male heir, a secret love, a true love that would endure, a murder. all set in that changing time that was 1950's Europe and a generation that had survived the second world war.
