Self Publishing: My rules to staying alive and making money
by Tara BrownPublish: May 29, 2014Advice & How To Book Overview
As a bestselling author of many genres and a publisher, I have made every mistake that a person can squeeze into two short years. And through it all, I have managed to be in the top twenty authors in the world, overall not genre based. I have managed to have two books sit at number 5 overall in North American sales for weeks. I have sold 15,000 copies a week on new releases of several books. I have been in the top 50 indies for 6 months straight. I have done all of this on my own, with the help of friends and bloggers but without a publishing house or anyone in my specific corner.
But I have still made every mistake I could. The ones I have skipped over or accidentally missed are soon to occur I am certain, I do everything the hard way.
Let me show you the things I might have done better.
Let me explain the things bestselling authors despise in new author so you don't make the mistake of rubbing seasoned authors the wrong way.
Let me take you on a guided tour of my cock-ups from the last two years.
I really hope this helps you on your journey to becoming a bestseller. I also hope that you bring more readers to the table as a result of this booklet. We are not competing in the author world. We are supporting. For every new reader brought into the literary world for a love a books, means more readers for us all.
Thank you for reading this and I truly hope it helps!
