“9 – 1 – 1 what’s your emergency?”
“She’s dead.”
“Ma’am please repeat that.”
“Dead. She is dead.”
“Ma’am are you safe?”
“I am now.”
“What is your location and name ma’am.”
“2101 Bluff Road. My name is Lori Sullivan.”
“Miss Sullivan help has been dispatched. I’ll stay on the line with you until the officers arrive.”
“No need. She’s dead.” I said smiling at her and disconnected the call.
“You don’t want to do this. Think about it.” She said moving toward me.
The first shot hit her in the right thigh, and she screamed out in pain. Her shot followed mine and hit me in my right shoulder. I fired again and the force of the bullet made her drop the gun, but she kept moving toward me, some fools never learn. “I need you to know I have thought of nothing else but your death by my hand for a very long time.” I said and shot her again, this bullet hit her in the chest. “I’ve dreamed about this very moment, you laying on your back in a coffin. Some dreams do come true. And I need you to know I’ll be smiling when they close that lid on your cold dead body. And finally I want you to know he was never yours, but you’ll die knowing he is mine.” My fourth shot hit her in her throat, and I smiled as the blood began to pour out of her, draining her. I heard the sirens and allowed myself to collapse to the floor.
That’s where they found me, sitting in a pool of her blood mingling in with mine. “Loosen your grip on the gun ma’am. That’s right, I’ll take it. You’re safe now.” The officer said as he took the weapon from my hand.
“We need an ambulance.” I told the cop looking down at Jack.
