Her new love remembers his name is Cristián Garrett, but doesn't seem to care that Josie is about to marry another man. Wendall has a change of heart at the ceremony and can't go through with his promise. Josie's father, Oliver, is furious. In a blind rage, he raises his gun to Cris and Josie, but then falls to the floor as he clutches his chest.
Cris finally confesses he loves Josie and the couple are married. Shortly afterwards, a couple of U.S. Marshals ride into town. One is to escort Cris to Red River Station where two men are locked up and believed to be part of the gang of rustlers that killed his father. Liam Reynolds is going to stay behind and guard Josie. She soon realizes he is her old friend, Lee, who she used to trade kisses for shooting lessons.
Lee has always had feelings for Josie. Will he respect her marriage or take what his heart wants?
