Hollow: A Diary of Loss
by D.E. ChapmanPublish: Jun 30, 2019Biographies & Memoirs Book Overview
They say the most depressed individuals are the most creative. I don’t know how true that is, but I do think there’s a little truth in that statement. After all, when you’re drowning in the darkness, you crave anything that can pull you free from it.
The story I am about to tell is no simple story. It’s my past, my history, my life. Not all will be pleasant and not all will be depressing. Life is all about finding that balance between good and bad, happy and sad. This is my journey where I try to find my way through the shit life has thrown my way.
Walk with me through the worst loss I’ve ever faced. Lay witness to the horror’s death brings in its wake. In this story, I don’t shy away from the brutality of loss and death. No, I show you how guttural the pain can be as I try to illustrate just how hollow you feel.
But ultimately, my aim is to show you that you’re not alone out there in whichever journey you now find yourself in. I hope it brings you comfort knowing you’re never truly alone.
Someone always cares.
