Deanna is an Award winning writer and film director who loves writing for kids. Lots of her work is centred around the countryside she lives in and often involves animals.

Famously, several years ago, Deanna went on the run with a cockatoo named 'Scoobie Doo' to save him from being culled by the authorities. After Internation Press Coverage the authorities backed down and Scooby Doo was saved.

Deanna won the prestigious Park Avenue Award for her feature kids adventure script as well as various other Awards.

I bought this book for my grandson and he loved the characters and the talking animals. It is a well written captivating story. I am hoping there is going to be more books in a series. One of those stories which will stay with you.

A magical story about a boy and girl who can talk to animals. My two children really enjoyed this book and have chosen it again to have read before bedtime. A book of friendship and finding out where you belong. I can thoroughly recommend.
