Would they come surging out of their spaceships, bent on the immediate murder of everyone in their path? Not if they were smart enough to have reached our solar system in the first place. Instead, they'd transport themselves to the seats of government power and see to it that we did away with ourselves, using our own methods.

When Amanda’s mother drags her shouting and protesting into Marlene’s hair salon to cut off her beautiful but dangerous hair, no one could have known the far-reaching consequences of a haircut. But when Marlene sells the shorn locks to a famed wig-maker, the whole world is placed in jeopardy.
Suspicions
Lenny first began to suspect there was something very strange about Gwendoline the day the white bull charged through the camp site, threatening to kill everyone in its path.
Perhaps what happened next was just coincidence, but then there were the strange deaths of the policemen at the protest march.
After that things just got out of control.
