Jeanne Burrows-Johnson is an author, narrator, consultant, and motivational speaker. Her carefully researched works of fiction and non-fiction draw on training and experience in education, the performing arts, marketing, and design. Jeanne’s love of storytelling lies in her theatrical training and the colorful tales of myriad characters in her life. Her authored and co-authored articles have appeared in literary, professional, and general readership publications.
Jeanne authors the award-winning Natalie Seachrist Visionary Hawaiian Mysteries, which offer Island multiculturalism, pan-Pacific history and the visions of her protagonist in classic literary form that is educational as well as entertaining. She was art director, indexer, and a co-author of Under Sonoran Skies, Prose and Poetry from the High Desert (a 2012 Southwest Books of the Year top pick).After residing in Hawai`i for two decades, she now lives in Tucson, Arizona. Academically, she became a member of Phi Beta Kappa while completing a Bachelor of Arts degree with Distinction in History at the University of Hawai`i. During graduate studies and a teaching assistantship in the World Civilizations program of the University of Hawai`i, she was accepted for membership in Phi Alpha Theta. She is also a member of the National Writers Union, Arizona Authors Association, Sisters in Crime, Arizona Mystery Writers, and is a Lifetime Member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, Highland Dancing genre. |
