It’s only in uncertain times that the true merit of man’s spirit is revealed, and uncertain times are most certainly upon us.Through the beautiful Welsh countryside, monster armies are invading the United Kingdom, burning and killing, turning red and foul what was once green and pleasant. The might of the UK military is brought to bear, to draw a line and to hold at whatever cost, for there are international fears that this invasion may go global. However, for Paul Westman, his troubles lie a little closer to home.
Having crash landed while on his way to search for his missing daughter, Paul discovers his grown-up little girl is caught up in the invasion and learns of the tasks he must fulfill to save her. Navigating monster ridden lands, forcing a murderer to face retribution, fighting a Demoness to the death, and bringing an end to the monster invasion is nothing compared to what he is prepared to do to save his daughter who could die at any moment.
Against a ticking clock, Paul does what he needs to, experiencing first-hand man’s spirit in uncertain times and questioning whether the monsters are bringing evil to a benevolent and altruistic world or are purging evil from the world…for evil is already here?
A multi-perspective novel, following the rogue actions of four principal characters as they cope with the unforeseen monster invasion and those whose lives are ruined by it - The faithful Cathy doing her duty to God zealously, the flawed Barry muddling the lines between right and wrong, the fearless Bethany fighting for her survival and that of those around her at every turn, and, of course, the unwavering Paul Westman hiking through Hell not only to save his girl, but also to save man.
