The Prairie Wind
by O. L. BrownPublish: Nov 14, 2017Action & Adventure Romance Book Overview
THE PRAIRIE WIND depicts the vagaries of life in stark reality. Why do bad things happen to good people? It is rich in the deep feelings, and passions, associated with good and evil; the joy and satisfaction found in extending compassion and forgiveness to others, and the serenity of new found love. It is crowded with a wide variety of people, events, drama, and suspense, and a warm understanding of human nature. ISAIAH BOWDRIE's wife has been brutally murdered and the authorities have been unable to find the killers. He is filled with anger, hate, and an overwhelming desire for revenge. He is determined to find these men and see that justice is done, even if he has to kill them himself. His search for his wife's killers takes him from his pastoral farm in Southern Tennessee to the crime-infested slums of St. Louis; a second murder, and eventually to a frontier town in Western Kansas. When he finds the men who killed his wife he is faced with some hard questions, and difficult decisions, which have far-reaching, and unknown consequences, not only for himself, but for a teenage boy, and a lovely woman, who steps forward to aid him when he is near death. THE PRAIRIE WIND will impact your thinking about good, evil, compassion, forgiveness, and love. The reader will remember the book for a long time.
