Back cover description
A few days ago, Suzi told me she loved me, and I think I love her too. F**k! I so hope that I didn’t just blow it, and pray that me waking up in Megan’s bed has an innocent explanation. I can’t recall everything I got up to last night, but I guess that I’m about to find out. I do remember that I’m due to fly out of Auckland tonight, heading towards Vancouver, for the next leg of my journey.
No Looking Back is the third part of the Diary of a Shy Backpacker, following on from Awakening Down Under and Eye on the Prize. We continue to follow BJ’s adventures as he travels across the wilderness of Canada, trying by phone to keep the fire of his new love burning, while resisting other tempting distractions. From Vancouver in the west, we see BJ travel north up the Inside Passage, and then east across the Rockies and prairies towards the provinces of Quebec and Ontario as, all the while, he tries to prevent his love life from disappearing south.
This humorous and romantic travelogue is fictional, but is loosely anchored around the author’s own real-life adventures ... allowing for fading memory and a vivid imagination.
