BIOGRAPHY
I was born on the Wirral in 1948. I attended St. Aidan's Private school in Wallasey until I was eleven. A casualty of the 'eleven plus' exam syndrome, I finished a somewhat sketchy education at a secondary modern school. I have been married to my wife Susan for forty-nine years. We have four sons, seven grandchildren... and live in the Isle of Man.
I gained my love of history after reading A Child's History of England by Charles Dickens. Since then I have read many non-fiction books on Anglo Saxon history. My favourite authors range from Tolkien to Bernard Cornwell and Thomas Hardy.
The Testament of Leofric the Black Volumes one and two are the first two books of a trilogy set in Dark Age Britain. read more
