Both Washington, D.C. and New York City are destroyed. Millions died in the attack. The country, the world goes into meltdown and panic. Iran used their funds released by signing a nuclear arms agreement with America to accelerate the development and production of nuclear weapons to attack and destroy the Great and Little Satans. Just a few hours earlier Jay's wife drove 37 miles to work. Jay is a 63 year old regular guy, he decides to journey 37 miles in each direction to save his wife. The sacrifices and decisions he makes changes him forever. This is Jay's story. His exploits, his dealings with first responders, the National Guard, US Army and gangs who use the nuclear attack to run wild taking everything they wanted. A low level cabinet officer becomes America’s Acting President, he turns to Russian Federation Putin for help restoring order. The Acting President doesn’t realize Putin has maneuvered him into asking for help so the Russians can land troops on American soil. 37 miles is book one in the series. He has to travel 37 miles to reach his wife, and then turn around and do it all over again in order to get home. The world Jay knows has been turned inside out. The rule of law has ceased to exist in the DC area. Gangs rule the local area, electrical power, communications and fresh water are history. Most of the federal government was killed in the nuclear attack on DC. What happens on day two after a nuclear terrorist attack? Jay tells the story of his joureny to and from his wife's job location.
