Described by one reviewer as “The King and I mixed with The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” Snail’s Pace is a Victorian comedy of manners in space. Susannah is expected to train her snail alien student in diplomacy, but instead, she lands them both in court. What’s a lady to do?
How are social norms determined? We take them for granted, but they are often quite different between one society and another. When and how do we realize and accept that just because we grew up with a certain standard does not mean it is the right standard for everyone?
