Champion surfer, Nikki Young hasn’t ventured into the ocean since almost drowning a year ago.When she flies to Hawaii during her Christmas vacation to compete in a video contest showcasing the scenic shores, she hopes her fear of the ocean won't ruin her chances. Surfboard designer Julian Vaughn needs to get back to shaping boards after a surfing injury, but months of therapy have been unsuccessful. And the romances? After his long-time girlfriend shredded his heart, he wants nothing to do with them.
When a fourteen-year-old matchmaker introduces Nikki and Julian, they recognize each other from high school and a spark ignites. Nikki offers her therapeutic expertise to her former high school crush, and in return, Julian guides her to the most picturesque locations for her film.
