Out of the Blue (Blue Series Book 5)

Sometimes the only way to bury the past is to drag it into the light.
Blue:
12 years ago, my life ended in a frigid, snow-covered forest. Everything I called reality turned out to be a mirage and left me with nothing but scars. I’ve worked hard to put that in the past, but some things refuse to stay in their graves.
The fugitive monster largely responsible for my nightmare is back. Someone dragged him out of whatever sewer he’s been hiding in to stand trial for more ruined lives.
All these years later, he’s still claiming he’s innocent. I know better.
The problem is, I’m not allowed to testify against him. I missed my chance over a decade ago. His new lawyers plan to spin a story to make him look like an innocent pawn in someone else’s game. He might get a few years in jail. He might get a stern lecture and deportation papers back to Canada. However it turns out, I’m supposed to accept his sentence and let it go?
Oh, I don’t think so.
Brady:
It’s a relief to finally have answers to the mysteries from Blue’s past, but it hurts to watch him go through it all again. Like him, there are a lot of things about those early years that I’ve worked hard to forget.
It’s also our ten-year anniversary, and I had planned to keep him too preoccupied to focus on the fanatic from his past. That’s not working out the way I thought it would, either.
Blue might be a little shaky, but he’s still holding it together enough to organize something I never thought I'd see him do. Now I'm the one caught completely off guard.
I love this guy. I really do.
