BIOGRAPHY Marcel Beijer (1961, Hilversum) is an author, journalist and columnist who lives in The Netherlands. In his early years he made radio and television programs. He wrote lyrics for a number of record companies.
Partly because of these experiences on stage and in front of the camera, Marcel Beijer became a stage critic in 1989 for a local newspaper. In 1992 Beijer became a reporter. Today he is a reporter/editor and columnist. In 1997 he made his debut as a novelist with Overwonnen Verlangen (Overcome Desire). The successor Gouden Bergen was published in 2020.
Because this novel is set partly in the Netherlands and partly in America, it was decided to also publish the book in English.
The English translation of this book will be published in 2022. (less)
