BIOGRAPHY I was raised in Big Sur, California. We lived in an old homestead shack composed of dynamite crates and apple cartons covered in tar paper. The house had a currogated tin roof (which leaked like crazy when it rained!). We heated the house and cooked our meals on a wood stove because we had no electricity. Kerosene lamps were our only light source. It was a rustic life, but one filled with great adventure. I attended a one room school with only twelve to fifteen kids in first through eighth grade. Reading was my favorite subject and from that I gained a desire to write. I used to sit among the redwood trees next to a gurgling brook dreaming of the day when I would be able to become an author. I never pursued my dream until later in life when I met my mentor, Heidi M. Thomas. She inspired me to go reach for my dream and coached me to fulfill my life-long desire. Murder is Brewing is my first published book. I am currently working on a second book in this series. I have written many memoir short stories of my life in the wilderness. In the future I hope to turn them into a book about my unique life, growing up in Big Sur.
