The Adventures of Linky Boy and Zelda, Canine Hero is the second in a series and continues their story. The first fun-filled adventure tells how they met and helped save their family from a house fire. This second fully color-illustrated book follows the pair in a new adventure. Linky boy is taken by the dog catcher for not wearing his collar, but his owner saves him from the dark cage. A third book in this series is entitled "The Continuing Adventures of Linky Boy and Zelda: Amber Alert!" In the Canine Hero edition, we find Linky Boy and Zelda visiting their favorite park at the water's edge when a woman struggles in the lake after falling out of her Kayak. Quickly, he jumps in the water, swims out into the lake, and saves the woman. He becomes a hero in the town and receives a "Canine Hero" award from the Mayor, and Zelda receives recognition as a "Special Friend." Critics have said the story and color illustrations are top-notch and recommend it to one and all [including parents and grandparents!"
