Ann birdgenaw 8 months ago Coming-of-age story set in 2003 about high-schooler Tommy, who is coming to terms with the fact that he has a crush on another boy. The story starts out with Tommy on a road trip to spend March break at his sister’s house. He’s not excited about spending time at Kennedy’s place until he meets Carter, the son of Kennedy’s friends, William and Sam. Tommy has feelings for Carter that he only ever suspected before. This is a light, celebration of teenage love and how it can be hard to be ourselves….even with the people who love us. Perfect balance of nostalgia for the pre-social-media times and what it’s like to feel the power of our first ‘crush’. I love the cross over with her other novel "Assassins! Accidental Matchmakers"! Great read!
