Omolara’s euphoria as a newlywed is quickly dampened by an unforeseen economic downturn and political instability in Nigeria. She is dealt a heavy blow when she loses her job and is left with no choice but to start afresh. Amidst her despair, a glimmer of hope arises in the form of an opportunity to relocate to Birmingham with her husband Nathaniel.Upon arrival in Birmingham, Omolara is greeted with a vibrant, yet conservative way of life. Despite the challenges she faces, her unwavering determination to make Birmingham her new home strengthens her prospects for a bright future. She eventually lands a job at an upscale clothing store, rekindling her long-forgotten passion for fashion and opening a world of creative possibilities.
However, she soon realizes that her new boss is not an easy nut to crack. His invincible obstacles and schemes pose a huge challenge to her, requiring more than just her winning personality and amiability to overcome. Fortunately, Lady Luck smiles on Omolara and her boss is relieved of his duties before he can implement his dangerous plots. In a remarkable turn of events, Omolara is promoted to the position of assistant store manager.
As she continues to climb the ladder of success, Omolara’s life takes a turn for the better. She becomes a mother and her marriage to Nathaniel blossoms. However, tragedy strikes when they are involved in a terrible accident. Omolara goes into coma, and her son dies.
Angry, confused, and emotionally drained- Nathaniel hits rock bottom. In his darkest hour, he must choose between keeping his faith alive and fighting for the woman he loves dearly or giving up on it all.
Omolara will have to fight for her life, and if she survives, will she be able to rebuild what she once held dearest?
