They can also build and maintain partnerships internally and externally to gain cooperation, alliances, and business growth. Overall, leadership is the key to building more efficient organizations and the instruments to ensure everyone is driven toward success and accomplishment.
Throughout the book, the author outlines a series of foundational principles of good management that are based on a series of foundational principles for an effective, productive organization. The first foundational principle is to communicate clearly and explicitly. Good organizational leaders understand the importance of effectively communicating expectations and knowledge to their employees. This means that they purposefully describe their objectives to their employees and praise or offer feedback promptly. Next, the author outlines that good management requires the leader to be positive in the workplace. By this, the author means that organizational leaders should encourage creating a positive workplace culture characterized by respect and inclusion, encourage collaboration, and emphasize new and innovative ideas. The second principle of good management is that it requires good problem-solving and decision-making.
