Cat Ellington's original unique critique? It's the art of literary criticism.
BIOGRAPHY American author Cat Ellington, creator of the famous Reviews by Cat Ellington book series, has been writing since she was a young child. In the art of literary criticism, Ellington wrote her first book review, a one-and-a-half-paragraph critique of Eleanor Clymer's Hamburgers and Ice Cream for Dessert in 1979. Since then, she has composed hundreds of reviews, comprising the nine-book Reviews by Cat Ellington series, chronicled from 1979 to 2023.
Additionally, the three-industry creative artist, in her professional capacity as an author, would add more works to her prolific bibliography, which also lists three titles from the Cat Ellington Poetry Collection, including More Imaginative Than Ordinary Speech (2019), Memoirs in Gogyohka (2019), and Strike a Prose (2022). Other titles authored by Cat Ellington and published by American book publisher Quill Pen Ink Publishing include her noted quotes collection, You Can Quote Me On That (2020), and The Five-Star Review (2021). The Cat Ellington Sheet Music Collection (Vital Vision Film Music, 2021), The Making of Dual Mania (Vital Vision Publications, 2018), which Ellington co-authored with award-winning filmmaker Joseph Strickland and Chicago theater critic B.J. Patterson, and Dual Mania: Music from the Original Soundtrack Album - Piano/Guitar/Chords - Sheet Music Book (Vital Vision Film Music, 2024), which Ellington also co-authored with Joseph Strickland, round out Ellington's (literary) efforts of over 24 titles produced since 2018.
