As a follow-up to my first book called Hating Self by Boo Black, this is a continuation of my life as I continue to learn how to love myself and how to become my authentic self. I am also dedicating this book to a friend who lost his son to suicide due to extensive bullying in school and on social media. This book is organized like a personal diary, and touches on subjects that mean the most to me, and the people who have molded me into the person I am today. My goal is to illustrate how we are all connected, emphasizing that we each have something to give to the world. Additionally, I want people to know that they are not alone in the struggles that they face, and there is always someone around who can help. You are not alone.In my previous book, I discussed how I attempted self-harm as a teenager, but now as an adult, you will see in Loving Self by Boo Black, I had another self-harm episode in June 2022. My hope is that I can convince others that suicide is not the answer. When you are depressed and in the moment, you really cannot think straight, so it's very important to have a Safety Plan in place, which I also describe in the book.
This book is written from my heart and soul, and is presented in the most positive way that I could manage. I chose not to sugar-coat anything, but this book focuses on how to make ourselves stronger and how to love and accept our quirks. Join me on this journey of self-discovery.
