      • I've always wanted to write a book and people are always telling me, "You need to write a book!" For many years, the concepts in The Back to God Game have been searching for their place in some kind of format. As I've shared these ideas over the years, I've gotten wide eyes and puzzled faces..."What do you mean everything goes back to God?" It wasn't until I shared with my grandson, Alden, and suggested we play a form of the game, that the words and the story found a resting place as a read-aloud book that both children and adults could share. As an educator, it thrills me to think of the back-and-forth-discussions that are sure to happen as the pages are turned. Yes, that's one of the goals...the second, but certainly not the lesser of the two, is to expand that sense of "awe" about God's creation..to make it deeper than just the beautiful flowers and cuddly animals we associate with God's gifts to us. I'd love to hear your stories as you uncover new wonderful gifts in our world.

      • If I died today I'd be satisfied with what I have accomplished. I find that as I complete projects etc. there are new goals to work toward. I'm retired from 25 years in education, but I am super busy doing other things...I owned a coffee shop and bakery...I'm a health coach...and now an author. But the best of all..at this stage of my life is being a grandmother. Now I pray for more days to spend with them.

      • When writing an illustrated book, you have to map out your story with matching illustrations. I just finished my first book and I wrote the story first. When I broke down the story into pages, it didn't always fit page for page for the illustrations I had in my mind. In writing my second book, I will map it out as I go.
