I do read them. I appreciate someone who leaves a review and ignoring it, to me, seems bad practice. I don’t always reply but do take in any criticism they have. At the end of the day, it’s our readers who drive our sales, so I feel they shouldn’t be ignored.
To be able to create a great story. One with characters who are so strong they drag you into the book. Add in a plot with strength and I think you’ll have a winner.
After having a story in my head for years, one day I just decided to write it. Why not? After releasing the book I got good reviews but let down by a bad editor. Now it’s beung revamped as I’ve leant so much.
