It's matured. You can't help but write differently as you gain life experiences and as your priorities change. I'm interested in deeper topics, inequality, cultural constructs, sexism, this concept of "the other" that isn't as good as "you" for whatever reasons are dictated by your upbringing and internal scripts.
All the time. A great deal of the military things I incorporate are from my experience in the Army. Little character quirks of the people closest to me make it in as well.
