I'm a full time night writer and have been for some years. I write seven books a year, with tight deadlines. This means I write every day and have been known to write on Christmas Eve and Birthdays - even New Years if I have to. I write about seven or eight hours a day, with lots of break for coffee and food :D
I'm new on NetGalley and I read every review that comes up there. I don't take bad reviews personally because I can't expect everyone who reads my book to love it. It would be nice, of course, but that's not how it works. I can only hope for the best.
I was an avid reader as a kid, I read everything I could get my hands on. We didn't have much mony for books, especially not when I was reading a book in a day, and because of that, I'm a huge fan of libraries. I wrote my first book when I was fourteen, sold my first short story at 32, and published my first novel two years later. All in Norwegian. I'm celebrating 25 years as a published novelist this year, and having my first novel in English published with One More Chapter. Which is exciting and overwhelming at the same time.
