The pirating of copyrighted material is completely out of hand. The supply of new indie novels exceeds the demand already, so it's a very competitive business. Most authors have novels for $.99 or FREE, even mass market authors, so basically we are giving them away, anyway. These pirated sites are taking our profits and if caught, simply close up shop, take their database with them, and start up under a new site, often within hours. To say the authors write for profit is a misnomer; many of us have to work full-time jobs just to make ends meet. We write because the story is within us - it must be put to paper. But to have what you poured your heart and soul into for months stolen from you and thrown into the wind is wrong. Something must be done to stop the piracy.
