I think it's really important to chose a good title and cover. It may capture people and make them want to stop by and check out your book. At least it always captures me :)
Plenty of times and I hate it. For me, I don't push myself, just rest, read a book, listen to music, maybe watch a movie. Then the inspiration comes back quite quickly.
I always read my book reviews. Readers opinion is very important to me, I want everyone to enjoy my book. Good ones are lifting my spirits and make me wanna write more. Bad ones, if they're constructive critics, I learn from it how to improve. If they're just hating, I simply ignore it.
I think the hardest is continuing to write the novel I started. I'm always enthusiastic at the beginning but as time goes by, especially with longer stories, I'm getting kind of bored of writing the same story.
It's difficult to capture the way male characters might think, their feelings. Men are different from women so it's not easy to make a reliable male character.
Publishing gave me additional motivation to keep on writing. I'm not just doing it for myself now - I've got to write since I had to add new chapters weekly :)
I always loved reading books and thought I would like to write something too, especially since I liked to create various scenarios in my head since I was a child. So I decided to write it down on. I think I started writing when I was about 10 years old? So I write for 19 years.
I think you should take it easy, don't overwork yourself. Write only when you feel ready & have ideas in your head, nothing good will come out of making yourself write if you're not in a mood.
No one really recognize me yet, but when I see good comments I'm really happy. It makes my day way much better, no matter what kind of crap happens before :)
