      • I don't try to force my writing. Usually, I head into my workshop and make a tobacco pipe, to do properly that takes up to 3 weeks. This is usually enough time to get my head straight and ready to carry on. I might also start drawing the cover illustration.

      • I realised I had a long way to go in the editing department. I also found my work long winded sometimes so I've concentrated on shortening sentences and converting lengthy narrative to dialogue. I find my editing process is now lessened, and I can play with dialogue.

      • A recurring nightmare, each time the detail became more vivid. I eventually discussed the dream with my girlfriend and decided I should write it down. Once I began writing I realised the dream was not a good place to start the book so I scrapped it and began again with Zero - Earth.

      • Try to write what you know, if you don't and it's something that matters, research it. Well founded facts make the difference to readers, thanks to the internet people are vastly well informed and can handle facts. If I am making something up, I try to invent something, but keep it grounded as an evolution of real world tech, or so different that nothing exists to contradict it.
