      • Putting your work out there for the world to see. That in itself is a HUGE accomplishment in my opinion. Because it can be such a nerve wracking thing to do and always has you left with, "what if I fail?!" But I stepped out on faith after putting my fear aside and said, "but what if I succeed?"

      • It began as a hobby at age 19 in 2003. The urge hit me while working as a housekeeper at a local hospital. I purchased a cloth covered journal from the gift shop (I still have it) and began writing poetry in it. My mom was my biggest influence, encouragement and cheerleader.

      • Take it slow. There's no reason for urgency. That's what causes stress. We rely so much on time which causes impatience and not just writing naturally but writing just to finish. That can lead to a writers block if you're not careful and believe me, I know. I began writing a historical Fiction novel in 2019, I haven't touched it since maybe early 2021. Wrote 33 chapters and hit a block because I couldn't figure out how to write the ending.
I'll figure it out someday, but for now I am focused solely on poetry.
