Although I've been dabbling with pen to paper most of my life and enjoying writing and sending letters to family and friends, I didn't start submitting my writing until the spring of 2016. Having more available time since retiring, I took a writing class at the local senior center. My instructor asked me why I wasn't doing something with my writing. I wrote primarily for my pleasure and hadn't considered putting my writing out there for other folks to read. I decided to give it a try. My first publication was a 25-word micro fiction piece in Nailpolish Stories, A Tiny and Colorful Literary Journal. Most of my free verse poetry, personal narratives, and flash fiction stories revolve around nature. I'm an outdoor enthusiast.
