      • I would if your books were fiction. I'm sorry, but I would not be the right person to review a memoir. When I click on the Amazon link in your AllAuthor profile, my Amazon page comes up. Would you please fix (or have someone at AllAuthor fix) this? Thank you.

      • Read as many books in your genre as you can and take note of what made you like or dislike them. Learn from them. Secondly, before you start writing, learn the rules of writing a novel, as there is a right and wrong way to do things. Learn the right way to structure a story, develop believable and interesting characters, establish point of view, and choose the best verb tense. Awareness of these things before you start writing will save you significant time in rewrites later on.

      • I got a rather late start in writing novels--I published my first one at sixty-two. But I knew from an early stage in my life that I wanted to write books in my retirement years. So, while I was busy in a career working for large corporations, I jotted down every thought I had about possible plots, characters, settings, themes, and scenes. I kept them in a shoebox, and when I was ready to write, I took them out, hundreds of them, sorted them into piles, and when I was done, I had the beginnings of my first five books.
