Events, no. Feelings and aspects of some interpersonal relationships, yes. That's not to say I won't add something like that later on if it works in a scene.
Having enough time and energy. I work full-time, so I can only devote an hour or two each evening. Sometimes when I'm just too tired or frazzled I don't do any writing at all.
