As a woman I find it challenging to write men. I tend to let my bias toward them break through unintentionally of course or I write the fantasy man. There just isn't an in-between.
My tips are this: Don't let negative reviews bother you. If they didn't like your book, it just wasn't for them.
When writing, use the "read aloud" option in word to help you edit and pick up on errors you might miss.
Keep writing, write everyday! The more you write the better you write.
Enjoy the ride! It's supposed to be fun!
