Start earlier! I wrote quite a bit in middle and high schools. But I let teen drama, marriage, babies, the ending of marriages, all had me forgetting about my love of writing. At least during those years, I read almost constantly. I still do. I always said I never want to go back to high school, but if I did, I'd tell myself to skip the dream of being a photographer - I have zero talent for it - and write instead.
