I’m a Buddhist so I believe I will live a life again. Education, both my kids have excellent degrees from top universities. I got kicked out of school at 15. You can do so much more with the discipline you learn with a good education.
I learnt so much, my editors turned my first draft inside out and upside down. I was writing an adventure story and they showed me how to make it so much more than just that. They gave me the courage to put the real story onto the page.
I've always loved reading. Books are magical, transporting you through time and space at the touch of a button. I lived an extraordinary life, saw things and experienced things very few people have and those that have, don’t talk about it. The prohibitionists have had it their own way too long. We who lived ‘outside of the law' have a different point of view on and experience of prohibition and it needs to be shared. That my life was tremendous fun, fascinating, terrifying, and sometimes very tough make it a good read.
How long have I been writing? These books, in my head twenty years. On disk eighteen months. There are two more in progress as we speak.
