I've been writing since I was a teenager. The funny thing is I grew up in a society that didn't encourage reading much. But my dad used to bring home airport paperbacks—usually thrillers and some historical romances—and I "stole" them after he was done. I think I read my first romance when I was fourteen, and it was a Johanna Lindsey's book with Fabio on the cover. :D
I'd probably be embarrassed at first—but only because I'm an introvert and try not to attract attention to myself. But obviously, I'd be happy and honored. Though I'm shy, I'd love to engage with anyone who enjoyed my work.
