Release attachment to the outcome. Writing itself is a process of exploring the moment and I personally use any emotional triggers as an opportunity to improve myself. To me, when we find ourselves emotionally drained or stressed, there is some underlying button being pushed. If we can find and process the root of that fear, we can react less (feeling emotionally drained or stressed) and be more responsive to the present (being more present, more calm, peaceful, and in the flow of life itself). To me writing is one element or expression of life itself.
I feel honored and humbled, especially that someone would go out of their way to let me know they recognize me. That to me speaks volumes about the impact I've had on someone's life.
