During my pre-teen and teenage years, I was pretty emotional and needed an outlet to get some things off my chest, so I started writing poetry. I loved writing considered making a career of it but after graduating high school, I went into the medical field and writing poetry took a back seat for many years. A couple years ago, I decided to write a children's book, based on a true story that I had been sitting on for over ten years, and realized that this is what I'm supposed to be doing. So, last year my children's book was published along with several journals. I've never been so happy, and I encourage everyone to never give up on following your dreams!!
