I think they have changed reading in a positive way. People can use one device to do a myriad of things since everyone has a phone with them that they can use to read. Unless someone wants to carry the physical book with them, they don't have to, since they can read the book on a device.
It is overcoming writer's block. When I know exactly what I want to write and how to write it then I can finish my book quickly. However, if I'm stuck and waiting for inspiration for a particular thing to write on then it can take a while until I figure out what I want to do.
It created an appetite in me to keep writing about anything that I want. Also, after figuring out how to format my book and successfully upload it on KDP made the process easier afterward.
I joined a book club after watching a youtube video that talked about making money with audiobooks. I've only done one audiobook so far because it takes a long time to get one done but I might do more in the future. I've been writing since 2021.
