I write ever morning. I usually work for a couple hours or so. When I'm writing a new story, I follow Stephen King's advise in On Writing - I write at least 1000 words until the story is completed. I don't look back until I'm done.
I've been writing since my early twenties. I started writing screenplays, which I occasionally I still do. But after I read Slaughterhouse-Five by Vonnegut, I was inspired to write my first novel, The Postcard. I was 29 at the time when I started my first novel, and I've been writing since.
