I have, and will, read each and every review. All feedback is good feedback. Obviously, no one wants to hear bad news, but constructive criticism can help shape you as a writer. Fortunately, I have been blessed to have a fabulous wife and three sons that serve as my editorial board during my writing process. And trust me, they have no problem telling me they don't like something.
Keep moving forward. I pretty much hate everything I write. I always feel it's not good enough. There's such a rush, however, when the product is finished and people will come up to you and say that they love or hate a certain character, or they want to know the fate of a character that may not be the protagonist, or they love/hate the ending. You touched another person's life. And your characters, the ones that were in your head for years, are alive and people care about them. That's incredible.
It's humbling. Other people are choosing to spend hours with your creation. Time is the only thing that you can never get back, and people have chosen to give you their time. If they are willing to give you that most cherished commodity, even if they have criticisms, that is something of true value. I always am so thankful that they gave me their time.
