I can't remember a time when I didn't have stories dancing in my head. I feel compelled to write them down. I began writing when I was three. Seriously. Unfortunately, being a precocious child just caused people to push me mercilessly in the opposite direction of my passions. I would sneak a moment to write a poem or a short story, here or there over the decades, and finally re-ignited the writing flame in the early 2000s. Now I am completely living my dream and writing full time.
