Nothing of course! The life that I lived led me to who I am today. Growing up poor gave me so many lessons about appreciating the smaller gifts in life. Spending 20 years in the United States Marine Corps taught me how much i can push myself to do things that challenge me physically and mentally. Marrying my husband several decades ago taught me about love.
Working fulltime as an Information Technology Senior Analyst is very demanding and a priority to my workday schedule. I have learned to balance my work and writing schedule to times of the day that works best for my creativity. I've learned that I can write my stories easily during the early morning hours. For up to four solid hours a day my schedule can be dedicated to writing. Sometimes i go to bed early just so i can wake up early and write. Since i write for fun and personal enjoyment I cannot write if my family or work need my attention.
