The title I angst over all the time. I always strive to find a title that somehow gives the reader a clear idea of the topic and tone of the book. The cover should not only be attractive and eye-catching but it should be professional.
I've heard authors say they never read them but I always do. Of course the good ones thrill me and they give me the incentive to continue. The bad ones? Sometimes they nag at me, but I also recognize that not every book will appeal to every author.
I was always a reader. Whenever I'd finish a good book, I would close the cover, sigh, and wish I could write. It just never occurred to me to try. Until, after college, marriage and becoming a mother, one day I found myself literally putting pencil to paper.
